Proyecto el Tambor is an initiative by professors and students of the University of Los Andes, concerned about the conservation of the Andean cloud forest.
We seek to promote the conservation and restoration of the Andean cloud forest, creating awareness among communities and encouraging their participation.

In our restoration activities we use native cloud forest species and silvicultural techniques appropriate for the ecosystem to guarantee the success of the plantations.
El Tambor is considered a continental island due to the abundant biodiversity and number of endemic species of flora and fauna that inhabit it, which is why at Proyecto El Tambor, we have taken the initiative to conserve and restore this invaluable ecosystem.
